Hello WISE Ladies! Our March 10th meeting was such a refreshing and energizing time for WISE. We had 17 members in attendance and walked into a conference room that was already unlocked and ready for us, which felt like the perfect way to kick things off. Kim got us started with a lighthearted icebreaker. As always, it gave us a few laughs and helped everyone loosen up and settle into the morning together. We also introduced a fun challenge for members to create a social media post highlighting our WISE scholarship and fundraising efforts, with a prize up for grabs. A big thank you to Rebecca, Brittany, and Mona for jumping in and accepting the challenge. Your willingness to take action and spread the word is exactly what helps us grow our impact. There have also been some exciting updates within our organization. Nicole has completely redesigned our website, and it looks incredible. Not only is it a beautiful upgrade, but it is also more functional. All member forms are now housed in one convenient, password-protected location. When you visit the site, simply scroll to the bottom and click on “Forms” to access everything in one place including our member list, sign up to be a speaker, nominate a potential new member and more! The password is WISE@2026dfw. We also had meaningful conversations around our committees following our recent kickoff Zoom meeting. Chairs have been identified, and action steps are underway. Brittany, who is leading the Sunshine Committee, had attendees fill out a favorites form to help us better support and celebrate one another. If you were not at the meeting, be sure to connect with her so you can be included as the committee begins spreading a little extra sunshine within our group. One of the most impactful moments of the meeting came when Christine Hillis shared a personal story about how receiving a scholarship could have made a difference in her own journey. It was a powerful reminder of why our fundraising efforts matter so deeply. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for the WISE scholarship, and we are currently at $354 raised through our Chicken N Pickle giveback night and T-shirt fundraiser. The T-shirt fundraiser is still going, and we encourage everyone to continue sharing it with your network. Order a shirt, wear it proudly, and help us spread awareness. We have several fundraising events scheduled through June. The March event is a social media class on March 28. Nicole has generously offered her time and expertise at no cost, with all proceeds going directly toward the scholarship. Be sure to check the details below and make plans to attend. We also enjoyed a wonderful presentation from Neelu, who shared more about Art Z and the creative experiences she offers for both kids and adults. More to come on a May fundraising event in partnership with ArtZ! To wrap up the morning, eight of us gathered for a casual coffee meetup at Sip Stir after the meeting, and it was such a fun way to continue conversations and build deeper relationships. Connection continues to be at the heart of what we do, so be sure to check out the newly added social events on the calendar and make time for your one-on-ones. When you meet, snap a selfie, share it on social media, tag your fellow member, and use #wisewomendfw so we can celebrate those connections together. Thank you to each of you for showing up, supporting one another, and staying committed to the bigger picture. When we come together with intention, we truly have the ability to make a meaningful impact, both in each other’s lives and in the life of the young woman who will receive this scholarship. Warmly, Christine Moreau On behalf of the WISE Board

💸Scholarship Fundraisers!

👚T-shirt Fundraiser

Our Bonfire campaign is a great start for our fundraising efforts. Thanks to everyone who shared the link, purchased a shirt, and helped spread the word. So far we raised $200 with the t-shirt campaign. The best part is that this fundraiser keeps working as long as we keep sharing. Our campaign will continue, and we have additional apparel options with white ink available now, so there are even more ways for people to support WISE. If you have not grabbed a shirt yet, now is a great time. Even better, wear it proudly at WISE events and around the community so people can see what we are building together. Supporting small businesses and building big dreams is exactly what WISE stands for. Please keep sharing the link with your friends, family, clients, and networks. Every share helps us move closer to supporting the next scholarship recipient. Thank you for continuing to spread the word and support this effort.

🐓🏓Chicken N Pickle Give Back Night

Thank you to everyone who supported our March 3 Giveback Night at Chicken N Pickle. Through food purchases that evening, we raised $154 for the WISE scholarship fund, which helps us continue investing in the next generation of female leaders in our community. While we were grateful for the support, we did hope to see more of our members there. Only two members were able to attend and represent WISE that evening, which was a little disappointing. That said, we know schedules get busy and we have many more opportunities ahead to come together and support our mission. The good news is we already have another chance right around the corner. Our next Chicken N Pickle Giveback Brunch will be on April 26 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Let’s make this one count. Bring a friend, invite your family, and share the event with your network. The more people who attend, the greater the impact we can make for our scholarship fund. Can we count on you to be there? Let’s show up, show out, and continue building momentum together.

💻Social Media Class Fundraiser

We are excited to continue promoting our upcoming workshop, Social Media for Business: Strategy That Converts, which will benefit the WISE Scholarship Fund. We are incredibly grateful to Nicole for generously donating her time and expertise, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the scholarship. This practical class will focus on helping business owners turn their social media presence into real growth. Attendees will learn how to clearly define their ideal audience, create content that builds authority, increase engagement that leads to clients, and develop a simple, repeatable posting plan. Nicole will also share strategies for batching and scheduling content to save time, along with the key metrics that actually drive revenue. Tickets for the public are $25 and include pastries and a beverage. We also welcome WISE members to help with the event and stay for the class at a discounted $15 rate, which will go directly toward the fundraiser. We encourage everyone to help us spread the word. Please invite friends, coworkers, and fellow business owners outside of WISE. When you share on social media, try posting about it more than once. Every few days is ideal. If you see another member post about the class, share their post as well to help us reach even more people. We have included two links below. One is the discounted member link, and the other is the public ticket link. The more seats we fill, the greater the impact we can make for our scholarship fund.

Did you know⁉️

If you’re unable to attend or participate in our fundraising events, you can still make a meaningful impact. Donations to the WISE scholarship fund are always encouraged and truly appreciated. When we all contribute in the ways we can, it lightens the load on just a few and allows us to make an even greater impact together. Every contribution helps us move closer to supporting a deserving female student in the DFW area.

☘️March Challenge!

As part of our continued fundraising efforts, don’t forget the challenge to visit five local businesses you already frequent and ask if they would be willing to display our flyers. These were included in your blue folders at the meeting. This is a simple but powerful way to expand our reach in the community. We also want to encourage everyone to consistently share about the scholarship and fundraising efforts on social media. Posting once will not create the impact we are looking for. When we all commit to sharing every few days, we begin to flood feeds with information, reach new audiences, and create real momentum behind our goal.

🎤Seeking Guest Speakers

Our monthly speakers are always a highlight. These moments give us the opportunity to learn from one another, build meaningful connections, and showcase the incredible strengths within our community. Whether you are teaching us something new, sharing helpful advice, or giving us a glimpse into the heart behind your business, your voice brings so much value to the room. Each speaker helps our group grow through shared knowledge, referrals, and authentic connection. We are currently booking speakers for 2026 and still have 4 fall spots available. If you have been thinking about stepping into this role, consider this your nudge. We also invite you to check out our new and improved website, where you can easily sign up and claim your month using the link below. We would love to spotlight you and the expertise you bring to our community.

📣Seeking new members‼️

Membership in WISE is intentional, and so is the way we grow. We are always looking to welcome women who are aligned with our mission, our values, and the heart behind what we are building together. This is not traditional networking, it is a community rooted in purpose, connection, and supporting one another at a high level, both personally and professionally. As we continue to grow, we want to be clear about the process of becoming a member. All prospective members must be nominated by a current member in good standing or by a member of the board. Because WISE is a profession-specific and thoughtfully curated organization, every nomination is reviewed and approved by the board to ensure alignment and protect the integrity of our community. Moving forward, nominations will be submitted using the form linked below. Once a nomination is received, a board member will reach out to the potential candidate and invite her to attend our monthly information gatherings to be held after our board meeting. This is an opportunity for her to learn more about WISE, experience the heart of our group, ask questions, and better understand the expectations of membership. It also allows us to get to know her and ensure it is a mutually beneficial fit. If it feels like the right next step for both sides, we will extend an invitation for her to attend the following week’s meeting. From there, we move forward with intention, ensuring every woman who joins adds to the strength, support, and purpose that makes WISE so special. Open categories for membership that would be a great addition to our community: home and car insurance, flooring, medical, pool, pest, estate planning, notary, foundation, bakery, med spa, dermatology, chiropractor, functional medicine, physical therapist, gym, mental health therapist, brow/lash, landscaping, social media manager, graphic designer, boutique owner, florist, catering If someone comes to mind who would be a great fit for this community, we encourage you to submit a nomination using the link below.
