WISE May 2026 Newsletter

May 20, 202611 min read

Our May 12 WISE meeting was filled with excitement, momentum, and meaningful connection as 16 members gathered together to continue building the future of our organization. We were especially excited to welcome two new members who joined us for the meeting, and we look forward to getting to know them better in the months ahead. A special thank you to our guest speaker, Rebecca Quiggle, for sharing her expertise as a registered dietitian. Rebecca spoke about nutrition, wellness, and the positive health benefits of Juice Plus, giving members valuable insight into simple ways to support overall health and wellness. One of the highlights of the morning was debuting our newly update Mission and Vision statements. Over the past several months, the board has been working behind the scenes to thoughtfully refine the direction and future focus of WISE. We are excited about the path ahead and the continued growth and impact of this organization. We were also thrilled to announce two board leadership updates. Keri Wilson has officially joined the board as Director, and Carrie Erff has stepped into the role of Secretary. We are so grateful for their willingness to serve and excited to see the ways they will help strengthen WISE moving forward. As we continue working toward our $5,000 scholarship fundraising goal, we encourage everyone to stay involved and support our upcoming events. Be sure to check out the details below for our Bingo & Silent Auction Fundraiser, and don't forget that our Bonfire T-shirt campaign is still ongoing. We are also excited to launch a brand-new T-shirt fundraiser in partnership with a local female-owned business. Thank you for being part of the heart behind WISE. Your support, encouragement, and involvement continue to make this organization stronger with every meeting. Warm regards, Christine Moreau WISE President

🎯Our New Mission and Vision Statement

At WISE, no woman entrepreneur builds alone. Women in Successful Entrepreneurship is an intentional community where ambitious women gather to build thriving businesses, forge genuine relationships, and lift each other without hesitation; showing up fully in a safe space where every win is celebrated, every struggle is held with care, and every breakthrough becomes a shared victory. Collaboration over competition isn't just our culture. It's our commitment. WISE envisions a future where every woman entrepreneur has a genuine community to call home; a place where she can show up as her full self, build with bold confidence, and leave a legacy that lights the path for the woman who comes after her. Rooted in authentic support, zero competition, and an unshakeable commitment to lifting women higher, we are expanding our reach through growing programs, opportunities, and pathways that meet women wherever they are in their journey; because the success of one woman was always meant to become the blueprint for the next.

🌸Welcome our new members!

At our May meeting, we were excited to welcome two new members to the WISE community! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Alixandra Dulin and Amye Stacy. Alix’s business is Dulin Solutions Advocacy and Amye’s is Island Adventures. We’re thrilled to have them as part of WISE and encourage everyone to connect with them on social media, learn more about their businesses, and keep them in mind when referral opportunities arise. One of the best parts of this community is the way we support and champion one another. If you see them at our next meetup or event, take a moment to introduce yourself and help make them feel right at home.

🧩Bingo Fundraiser

Our WISE Bingo Fundraiser is happening June 14 from 4–6 PM at Chicken N Pickle, and this has the potential to be one of our biggest scholarship fundraisers yet. Tickets are just $25, and every dollar from ticket sales goes directly to the WISE Scholarship Fund. To help make this event a success, we’re inviting each member to take on a simple challenge: sell 5 tickets. Whether it’s friends, family, neighbors, or clients, every ticket sold helps us move closer to our scholarship goal and makes a meaningful impact for local graduating seniors. As a thank-you, anyone who sells 5 tickets will receive 1 entry into a prize drawing, and members who sell 10 tickets will receive 2 entries. Suzanne Mills has generously donated a 3-hour organizing service as our giveaway prize! We’re also currently collecting donated items for: Bingo game winners Tie-breaker prizes * Silent auction items If you haven’t had a chance to participate in one of our other fundraisers, this is a wonderful way to contribute. Gift certificates for your services, restaurant gift cards, themed baskets, or unique experiences are all greatly appreciated. Our silent auction will open online before the event and remain live through the end of the fundraiser. We’ll also need a few volunteers the day of the event to help everything run smoothly. If you’re available to help, we’d truly appreciate the support. Let’s come together, have some fun, and make a big impact through this event! Tickets can be purchased and shared using the link or QR code on the flyer, and they’re also available on our website.

👚T-shirt Fundraiser Update

Our Bonfire t-shirt fundraiser is still going strong, and every shirt purchased continues to support the WISE scholarship fund. Thank you to everyone who has already ordered, shared the link, and helped spread the word. We’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be adding a new “Made in the USA” design along with additional merchandise options to the Bonfire campaign. We also want to give a huge thank you to a local female owned t-shirt company, The Tee Tap, for generously partnering with WISE on a special fundraiser. She will be offering a distressed “Made in the USA” design on black, red, or blue shirts for $30 each, with $10 from every shirt going directly toward our scholarship fundraiser. Local pickup or $10 to ship. The below order link is live now. Orders for this special design will be accepted through June 9th. These fundraisers are such an easy and meaningful way to support WISE while helping us continue investing in future female entrepreneurs. Be sure to wear your shirts proudly, share them on social media, and help us continue spreading awareness about our mission.

Did you know⁉️

If you’re unable to attend or participate in our fundraising events, there are still meaningful ways to support the WISE Scholarship Fund. Monetary donations are always welcome and deeply appreciated, and every contribution helps us move closer to our goal of supporting a deserving female student in the DFW area. Another wonderful way to help is by donating an item or service for our silent auction. Gift certificates, themed baskets, products, experiences, or services are all great options. If you’d like to contribute, please contact Christine at 817-938-7029 to coordinate your donation. When each of us gives in the ways we can, it lightens the load for everyone and allows us to create an even greater impact together. Every donation, every ticket sold, and every act of support truly makes a difference.

🎗️Don’t forget to do your 1 in 1’s.

Don’t forget to prioritize your 1:1s. This is one of the things that truly sets WISE apart. We’re not just networking, we’re building real relationships. These conversations create connection, trust, and opportunities you won’t find in a group setting alone. If a meeting gets canceled, don’t let it fall off. Circle back and get it rescheduled. Consistency here matters, and it’s a big part of the impact we’re creating together. And while you’re at it, snap a quick selfie during your meetup and share it on your social media. It’s a simple way to show your network what you’re doing with WISE and help grow our community. Be sure to use #wisewomendfw, and if you’re posting on Instagram, tag @wisewomendfw so we can see and share it too.

📲Follow WISE on Instagram!

WISE is continuing to grow on Instagram, and it’s quickly becoming a space where we share our mission, highlight our events, and show the real impact we’re making together. If you’re not following along yet, now’s the time. And when you see a post, don’t just scroll by. Like it, drop a comment, and share it to your stories or page to help us reach more people and expand our community. When you share, be sure to use #wisewomendfw so we can see it, celebrate it, and keep building that visibility together.

🎤Seeking Guest Speakers

Our monthly speakers are always a highlight. These moments give us the opportunity to learn from one another, build meaningful connections, and showcase the incredible strengths within our community. Whether you are teaching us something new, sharing helpful advice, or giving us a glimpse into the heart behind your business, your voice brings so much value to the room. Each speaker helps our group grow through shared knowledge, referrals, and authentic connection. We are currently booking speakers for 2026 and still have 3 fall spots available (Sept, Oct, Nov). If you have been thinking about stepping into this role, consider this your nudge. We also invite you to check out our new and improved website, where you can easily sign up and claim your month using the link below. 📣Seeking new members‼️

Membership in WISE is intentional, and so is the way we grow. We are always looking to welcome women who are aligned with our mission, our values, and the heart behind what we are building together. This is not traditional networking, it is a community rooted in purpose, connection, and supporting one another at a high level, both personally and professionally. As we continue to grow, we want to be clear about the process of becoming a member. All prospective members must be nominated by a current member in good standing or by a member of the board. Because WISE is a profession-specific and thoughtfully curated organization, every nomination is reviewed and approved by the board to ensure alignment and protect the integrity of our community. Moving forward, nominations will be submitted using the form linked below. Once a nomination is received, a board member will reach out to the potential candidate and invite her to attend our monthly information gatherings to be held after our board meeting. This is an opportunity for her to learn more about WISE, experience the heart of our group, ask questions, and better understand the expectations of membership. It also allows us to get to know her and ensure it is a mutually beneficial fit. If it feels like the right next step for both sides, we will extend an invitation for her to attend the following week’s meeting. From there, we move forward with intention, ensuring every woman who joins adds to the strength, support, and purpose that makes WISE so special. Open categories for membership that would be a great addition to our community: home and car insurance, flooring, medical, pool, pest, estate planning, notary, foundation, bakery, med spa, dermatology, chiropractor, functional medicine, physical therapist, gym, brow/lash, landscaping, social media manager, graphic designer, boutique owner, florist, catering If someone comes to mind who would be a great fit for this community, we encourage you to submit a nomination using the link below.
